ClinRO
ClinRO is a tool that allows clinicians and other site staff to enter survey form data for patients participating in clinical trials.
My Role
I led the product strategy and design strategy for ClinRO. By hosting multiple collaborative workshops with stakeholders, engineers and the science team, I helped define in simple terms the MVP. I then directed designers on a design by implementing our design system. Because we decide to build this tool on top of our current Admin Portal system, I designed architecture that helps engineers to the system quickly and effectively. After we run a few usability tests to validate different design options, I worked with engineers to make the product alive.

Assumptions
For a brand new concept, in the beginning, I worked as a product manager working on the assumptions and product features.

User Assumptions:
-
Users will fall into three levels of expertise/classes.
-
Site clinicians who will have a set number of patients visiting their site
-
Non-doctor users will be responsible for entering measurements or other data
Technology Assumptions:
-
The ClinRO tools will be built as part of the admin panel (Web Based, on React on top of Python)
-
The initial build will be mobile-optimized for a 9.7" iPad in portrait mode.
-
Desktop breakpoints can be a lower priority or only optimized for testing and client demonstration purposes
User story journey map
According to my assumptions and understanding of the clinical trial protocol, I used user story journey map for the product feature and UX strategy.
